July is here, and DIMO is cruising along with exciting new updates and milestones. From hitting 100k connected cars to releasing the latest mobile update, we were busy building this month and hope you earned some rewards along the way too.

The DIMO network just witnessed another major milestone. Over 100k vehicles are now connected to the network with either a software connection, AutoPi, or Macaron. How many will be connected this time next year? 🚀

For this month’s Build On DIMO, Head of Developer Relations James Li spoke with a builder, Henry Hirshland, who shared his experience creating an application with the DIMO developer platform. There's also some new details on DIMO prizes for the ETHOnline hackathon and some Developer API & SDK updates. 

Don’t forget to update those apps. DIMO Mobile v1.15 was pushed to the Apple App Store & Google Play store this month. This update brings some much-needed, exciting new features like: 

• Redesigned vehicle tab
• New notification cards 
• Cleaned up account tab 
• Feedback submission form

DIMO is putting up some prizes for web3's biggest virtual hackathon of the year, EthOnline. From August 23rd to September 13th, hackers will be heads down building projects that leverage DIMO's new APIs and SDK. Sign up to participate.

DIMO co-founder Rob Solomon published an opinion piece on CoinDesk for their new DePIN vertical. He discusses how car culture has lost some passion over the last few decades, and DePIN could bring back personalization and community using modern solutions.

• AutoTech Detroit with Alex: Alex spoke at AutoTech Detroit in June, sharing the DIMO mission and solution directly with the automotive industry. You can rewatch his presentation on the DIMO YouTube channel, now with slides!

• Stand With Crypto Spotlight with Yevgeny: We drive with DIMO, but also Stand With Crypto. Yev sat down for a brief interview with the grassroots advocacy championing the next wave of crypto regulation.

• Founder Update - The Fight for Control in the Cloud: In his latest Founder Update, Alex Rawitz authored a piece on how important it is for the software and data used in our cars to be open-source and in a credibly neutral infrastructure layer for vehicles.

• Kraken - What is DePin: One of the largest centralized exchanges in crypto, Kraken, is waking up to the DePIN movement too. They published a comprehensive guide on DePIN, highlighting various projects including DIMO.

• Crypto Sapiens: Alex sat down with Chris Eberle from the Crypto Sapiens podcast to chat about the DIMO ecosystem. They discuss data ownership in the auto industry, improved wallet UX, car hacking, and decentralized tech in IoT.
